Great nights sleep at Top Hill Lodge in Monjo.
Sleeping bag initiated and is very warm. Breakfast was apple pancakes. Conversation dominated by toilet humour resulting from a very blocked toilet.
We got away at 0810 and arrived at Namche at 1155 (3h 45m) and we're at 3,440m (11,280 ft), a climb of 605m. We crossed four wire bridges.
Lots of yak loads today. Team is in great humour & I'm loving it. We had lunch at the lodge then Rachael and I went for a walk in the rain through Namche Bazar.
The walk into Namche was very steep. In the afternoon the weather cleared and the whole team walked up the hill behind the lodge to see the view. We could see Lohtse and the Tangboche monastery but not Everest as it was obscured by cloud. Hopefully it will clear tomorrow.
Visited the Namche monastery. They have a yeti skull there. Gave a donation R100. We've bought a yeti skull and hand to take to Pangboche Monastery.
Blood 86bpm/93% - no change. 4 Litres water.
